Day Twenty

Gamma thought that last night would be a good night for a Christmas story.

She invited a lot of the youngest’s stuffed animals.  Clifford, Little Mikey (Monsters Inc), Russian Mickey and Russian Minnie along with some who have names I don’t know.

Gamma picked a non-traditional book to read.

I wish I could say that Sirius was setting a good example.  Unfortunately, he is still a bit a naughty dog.

He decided to hog the whole bag of kisses.  Although he is awfully cute trying to look like Rudolph.

Day Nineteen

This morning was very boring for the boys this morning.  I guess the late night on Friday made for a sleep elf.

I don’t Yahtzee is the hit game it used to be once upon a time.

Day Eighteen

Sirius is a serious game player.  He won the go fish game with Gamma over socks.  It looks like he is totally winning this game of Monopoly too.  He has cities on his properties.  Ouch.  That is a lot of rent to pay.

The other husky is Missy.  That is my youngest’s forever pal.

Which would make Mickey Gamma’s date. Wonder if Gamma can talk Mickey into sending our family a PIN code?  We sure would love to save some money.  Hint Hint Mickey.

There were these cute mini game boxes next to each player.  I figured they were candy.  What I didn’t know was that each box had it’s own game piece shaped hard candy.  The game pieces from Sorry were the coolest.

My youngest was very excited to see that somebody else likes to play Monopoly.  That is his favorite game.  He helped them finish their game by rolling the dice for each them a few times.

Gamma is much better at Games than Gifts, so say the boys.

Day Seventeen

Gamma must have thought we didn’t have enough holiday spirit.

She packed each boy’s backpack full of wrapped gifts.

Unfortunately, the boys did not understand.

Eldest came home from school and wanted to know what I did with his books and why did I put presents in his book bag.  I told him he should probably open up those presents.  They did have his name on them.  I got lots of eye rolling.

The youngest boy saw his presents in his backpack before he left for school.  He quickly opened them up.  His little face fell.  The disappointment was audible.  They were his own school books.

They both decided that when Gamma goes back to the North Pole, she needs to take a class in Gift Giving 101.

Day Sixteen

Woke up this morning to the sound of the UP movie.

Gamma and Sirius had invited the Army men over for movie night.

They helped themselves to the chips.

I’m so glad they didn’t make mess on the floor.  That grease is hard to get out of the carpets.

Wow!  Gamma knows lots of celebrities.  Kevin and her baby, stars of the movie UP, were here watching the screening.

Way cool.

Day Fifteen

Well, not really.  Gamma doesn’t play with fire.  I think she may be allergic to nuts too.

She did however treat her snowball fighting buddies to a midnight snack that was safely heated.

I’m glad she didn’t try to make hot cocoa.  That would have been a mess.

The boys weren’t all that thrilled with a bag of marshmallows.  Eldest was hoping for more chocolate.  The youngest didn’t turn down the marshmallows though and had some with breakfast.

Day Fourteen

I’m not sure who started it.  And I certainly cannot tell who won.  But I am pretty sure a good time was had by all.

It looks like Gamma made her fort a little bit too high.  She needed help from Sirius to lob over those snowballs.

Who are they fighting?  I guess it is kinda hard to see.

How’s this?

Those would be not the same army men who tried to steal the cookies.

I guess I should thank them all for making sure I rotate the stock in my pantry.

The dark shape in the middle of all the snowballs in the first picture is what they were fighting over.  A two pack of Clone War themed playing cards.  Each boy got one.  And the youngest made sure to test them out with a game of go fish before school.

Day Thirteen

Well, I guess it would be fetch if someone has thrown them.  Not sure what we really should call it.

The boys woke up to find this.

Why is Sirius out of his igloo.  Look really closely….

Those would be the remotes for the TV and the controls for the game console.

Good thing that dog is cute.

He also had a box of peanut butter chocolate penguins tucked away inside there.  Eldest claimed those right away.

Not to be out done, Gamma hid her own treat.  Chocolate covered caramel Santas.  The youngest called dibs on those.

I’m thinking with all this chocolate and candy there are going be lots of New Year’s resolutions. LOL

Day Eleven

Gamma should know better than to gamble with a Siberian.  Those are sneaky dogs.

I am pretty sure that Sirius is winning.

Gamma has nothing left to bet and Sirius still has some in reserve.

The boys are both wearing their new socks. They had already taken them out of the pot before I took pictures.  They are Green Socks – “Black is the New Green” “Think Green” “Save Our Earth” and one with the recycle symbol.  Nobody else wanted the pretty red ones.  I think they are mine. LOL

Day Ten part Two

It was just a few minutes, I swear.  I wasn’t gone that long at all.

And yet, Gamma and Sirius manged to have an epic battle before I got home.

Sirius was leader of the Separatists and had clones held hostage inside the red lidded tote.

Gamma was general of the Republic.  I’m going to guess there would have been a flanking movement had I not arrived home when I did.

Otherwise Gamma was going lose.  She was totally out gunned.
